Today Indiana Senator Evan Bayh came out and announced that he will not run for re-election, siting the dismal affair that our government has become.

In an interview on MSNBC this morning, newly retiring Sen. Evan Bayh declared the American political system "dysfunctional," riddled with "brain-dead partisanship" and permanent campaigning. Flatly denying any possibility that he'd seek the presidency or any other higher office, Bayh argued that the American people needed to deliver a "shock" to Congress by voting incumbents out en masse and replacing them with people interested in reforming the process and governing for the good of the people, rather than deep-pocketed special-interest groups.Vote them out indeed! It's time to join forces with the Tea Party folks. Although we may be far apart on some items, on others such as Single Payer Health Care we are on the same path. As noted in this CNN poll 63% of those polled agree that all incumbents should be tossed out.

Wake up people - we're in the same boat! Our Legislators are not working for us, they've been bought by the corporations and the Military Industrial Complex.

I really think the only ones who don't also want Single Payer are the ones they put on tv. That's the RNC putting them on tv and they AREN'T going to show the ones on our side about that. PLUS, even the ones who are pitching a fit about government getting in our healthcare are MOSTLY doing it because of that STUPID bit about having a government cost benefit analysis thing. What got the press was Palin's "death panel" bit, but what is rarely mentioned by shills for the Democrats is that there WAS, and maybe still is, a provision for that. That might not sound threatening to some, but it could very easily be scary as hell. There would be NO way to keep them from doing almost exactly as Palin made it sound. THAT was what spooked them.

Even I keep thinking they can't possibly be as nasty as they ALWAYS turn out to be and it's really TIME to stop trusting there's ANY kind of good motive behind this shit.
As it has been articulated to me, by the Tea Partiers I know, they want Universal Care, and they want it to be identical to how it's always been, MINUS THE BILLING AND INSURANCE SHIT. They want to just go to the doctor when they want and need to go, and that's it. Most of them say they wouldn't mind paying more taxes to get THIS. They mind like crazy about getting mandated premiums with no mandated care and no mandated cap AND a governmental panel that, in essence, DOES decide who lives and who dies.
I CAN'T FIND FAULT WITH THIS!
So even though they are conservatives, they are on our side on this, and even being more clear-headed about it. They're not letting their desire to have an end to this endless crap about our right to medical care let them only HOPE that's what they're being given.
I don't know about you, but I'm terrified of what those fuckers are going to slap down on us when they get together at the end of the month.
