it's official

The silver lining, here, is that maybe a bunch more media whores will become frightened enough to start doing their jobs, whether or not it gets them fired.

Of course, the truth is: It's too lethal to be near the spill at all. They should be evacuating the whole Gulf Coast and forcing cleanup workers to wear respirators and hazmat suits.

  1. It's all about hiding it!

From day one when they told us there was no leak, to the use of dispersants, to keeping people and press from seeing the damage.

  2. Well, there's going to be a HEAVY price, personally, for all those participating in the hiding of it. They definitely want us to forget about it, or feel as though it's being handled. The headlines are all about BP passing the $3 billion mark on the "cleanup". Between the lethal gasses from the blowout itself and equally-lethal gajillion gallons of Corexit, anything that breathes in the area has at best shortened its life by at least a quarter, IF they don't end up in the hospital and dead right now.

Every day it's not stopped, this gets worse and spreads farther afield.

I really think they already know everything they're going to do, and excuse the secrecy on the grounds of not panicking millions of people. Instead they may kill them. It's cheaper. It's less destabilizing. [Read less apt to cause rioting in the streets.] It's the fascist way, and, as we all know, FASCISM IS FUN!

  3. I heard tonight that the Army Corps of Engineers took the Holiday off.

People tried to reach them only to get phone messages to call back after the holiday!

    FUCK!

  5. I did NOT... OMG... isn't that clever? I don't even remember where I got this video, but it twarnt GLP.... I always thought that was a site for total loons, but they are doing better on the blowout than most places....

Actually, uhm, I think I got the video from CNN...? Didn't I?

Maybe CNN owns GLP! Glad to know I wasn't seeing things....
